Women on Mission. The Women on Mission is ongoing missions involvement and learning that extends across the globe. Mission opportunities, learning materials, Bible studies as well as hands on missions are available. As a part of the Women on Mission, ladies have the opportunity to participate in missions and ministries that enable them to experience a variety of ways to serve Christ.
The ladies meet each 4th Monday of each month. The meet at 6:00 PM in Room 306. All ladies are invited to be a part of this group.
The ladies have Bible studies for different times during the year. These also meet on Monday, 6:00 PM in Room 306.

Baptist Nursing Fellowship.  Healthcare professionals have the unique skill set to imitate Jesus’ ministry in their lives. They can use their professions as platforms for sharing the gospel. Baptist Nursing FellowshipSM is designed to help health-care professionals utilize their talents to fulfill their desires to serve God alongside other people. BNF® offers members professional and spiritual development, financial support, and service opportunities; and connects health care and missions to ignite a passion and unity among Christian health-care professionals.
Mission Friends.  How young can a child be and still learn Christian missions concepts?  Mission Friends® provides the building blocks of faith and a basic awareness of God's love for all people. 

Meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM
Boys and girls ages 3-5
Leaders: Rose Anderson and Mary Ann Jenkins
Children in ActionSM is a missions discipleship organization for children in grades 1–6. Every boy or girl has an important place in Children in Action. Members of Children in Action learn about and pray for missions. They do missions work and give money to missions. Plus, they have a great time!

Meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM

Mission Opportunities

  • Murphy Elementary School Partnership

We encourage the faculty and staff by providing “goodies” once a quarter.
We save items to help the school such as Box tops, and aluminum cans,

  • Christmas in August

  • Nursing home visits

  • Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes: 2015 Goal 1,000 boxes

Operation Christmas Child is a program sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse. Shoeboxes are filled with items to give to boys and girls around the world.


We wrap empty shoe boxes on Monday morning from 10AM-12noon in the Charis Sunday school class.

Date for packing the shoe boxes: November 14, 2015 2:00 PM……

Dedication of the shoeboxes will be November 15, 2015 during the morning worship service

  • Margaret’s Helping Hands

Come join in a time of sewing and fellowship. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday mornings from 10-12 noon in the Charis Sunday school class. The items we make are donated to the Christmas Bazaar to raise money for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. This is open to anyone who is interested. Patterns and materials are provided.

  • Christmas Bazaar is November 21, 2015 from 9 am – 2 pm. Donations are welcomed from everyone. We need baked goods and canned goods too.

Special Offerings

  • Lottie Moon Christmas Offering: We went over our goal of $5,000 for 2014.

  • Annie Armstrong Offering: Our goal for 2015 is $3,000.
