Our Mission
We are committed to lovingly reaching out together to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ helping them become mature Christ like followers.
Our Vision
Mature disciples worship Christ, walk with Christ, and work for Christ. A person committed to a relationship with Christ focuses on personally walking with Him, worshiping Him, and working for Him. Our obedience to Christ is revealed in our lives as we worship Christ, walk with Him and work with Him. That person will experience significant growth in personal sanctification and therefore will experience a closer personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and will become "mature in Christ."—Colossians 1:28
We believe the disciples of Jesus Christ should minister to one another in the local church, rather than one or a small number of professional pastors bearing total responsibility to care for the entire congregation. God has given spiritual gifts to all of His people to provide mutual ministry in the context of the healthy and strong local church.—Ephesians 4:11-12
First Baptist Church of Murphy offers an array of opportunities for every disciple to grow in relationship to Jesus Christ and connect with others. These opportunities include weekend worship services and church-wide special events, as well as a variety of adult, high school, junior high school, and children's ministries, Small Groups, and fellowship activities.
