The Men’s Ministry plays a major role in pursuing the mission of Murphy First Baptist Church. As its purpose the Men’s Ministry strives to involve the men of Murphy First Baptist Church and other churches in on-going projects to serve our Lord, our church, and our community.
To meet this purpose the Men’s Ministry has developed the following four objectives:
Enable and equip Baptist men to be personally involved in mission activities.
Encourage Baptist men to identify witnessing and mission opportunities.
Educate Baptist men.
Lead Baptist men in developing all areas and aspects of their lives to become mature, active and involved Christians.
Since it’s inception in 2001 the Men’s Ministry has been involved in many activities and projects to fulfill the above objectives.
The Men’s Ministry undertakes Mission trips in support of the North Carolina Baptist Men.
The Men’s Ministry sponsors the annual Mayor’s Men’s Prayer Breakfast, held in February of each year to bring the men of the tri-state area together in fellowship, inspiration and education.
The Men’s Ministry meets once a month on the second Saturday for breakfast, bible study, and/or personal testimony.
The Men’s Bible study meets on Monday evenings so that men can grow and mature through the study of scripture.
Throughout the year the Men’s Ministry, where able, provides maintenance, repair, and cleanup services to widows and other needy people.
The Men’s Ministry supports community activities including but not limited to
The Cancer Relay for Life, The Special Olympics, and The Senior Olympics.
We extend an invitation and encourage all the men of Murphy First Baptist and other churches to join together in our ministry.
You don’t need to be a leader you just need willing hands and a willing spirit.
